Dear Families,
This mailing contains a lot of information regarding the 2010 LCA Family Conference. Please take the time to carefully read each section, and return forms to us as soon as possible.
We are pleased to inform you that we are once again partnering with Chicago Cubs’, First Baseman Derrek Lee’s 1st Touch Foundation.
We hope more families than ever before will come together for the LCA Family Conference in 2010. This Conference is a unique opportunity to learn first hand the most current information on LCA directly from the researchers and doctors who are working on it. This is a wonderful chance to bring your list of questions, and your family’s lists of questions and get straight answers.
We will also be offering medical exams, ERGs and retinal photographs through the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). These exams will be offered on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st, 2010. You must fill out the medical request sheet and return it promptly as space is limited. This year the doctor’s will prioritize appointments based on patient history and availability.
The medical research presentations, breakout discussions and roundtable sessions will be held at the Inn at Penn Hotel.
Tim Bleeker, DIR Support Services will be holding one hour developmental evaluation sessions at the Inn at Penn Hotel, Friday, July 30th – Saturday, July 31st. Appointments and payment ($200.00 per session) must be made directly thru Tim Bleeker. He may be reached by phone at 301-657-1130 or e-mail Tim@DIRSS.com. Your appointments must be made in advance.
We have made every effort to keep the cost of attending this Conference to a minimum. The Conference fee is $125 per family plus hotel, meals and events. There are minimal charges for child care. Industry professionals are also encouraged to attend. The fee for non-family industry professionals is $150 plus hotel and meals. We do not want these costs to stop anyone from attending, so please contact Sally Lewinski (sally@tfrr.org) if you need assistance.
Once we receive your registration materials, a confirmation letter will be sent to you. Please make your hotel reservations quickly as space is limited.
